Harvest Collection in School on Thursday 15th October

On Thursday, (15th) we will be celebrating our annual Harvest Festival with a very special Collective Worship. As part of our learning around thankfulness, we are focusing on how we can share our blessings with those around us.

To help us prepare, we will welcome Sarah from The Edge Café on Monday. She will be speaking to the children in CoWo about the important issues of food waste and explaining how their local Community Fridge works to ensure good food goes to families rather than to waste.

On Thursday we would love to collect donations of foodstuffs to support The E Community Fridge. If you are able to contribute, any of the following items would be very much appreciated:

  • Dried food (pasta, rice, lentils)
  • Tins (soups, beans, vegetables, fruit, tuna)
  • Packets (biscuits, cereals, tea, coffee)

During our special Harvest service, each class will bring up their donations to place onto the Collective Worship table as a physical thank-offering. One way of expressing thankfulness is generosity and we want to be a generous school community.
